Sani Abacha as military head of state
Recall that the Swiss Ambassador to Nigeria, Hans Rudolf Hodel, in a meeting recently with the President elect, Muhammadu Buhari, disclosed that about $370million recovered from former head of state, Gen. Sani Abacha, has been traced by the Swiss government to a Luxembourg account
.
Nigerians have however reacted to this new development. Some of them took to Twitter to make their points known. While some think the former military head of state’s idea of stashing money in account abroad is a very nice idea because of the interests it is yielding for the country, some are against the idea, lambasting the late dictator and the people that were a part of his government way back.
