Barcelona star Lionel Messi has
once again showed his generous side as donated 4.5million Argentine
Pesos (97m) to UNICEF at a fundraiser in his home country of Argentina.
The four Ballon d'Or winner who is currently preparing for the UEFA Super Cup
with Barcelona was not available at the fundraiser but appeared via
video link where he surprised attendees at the 'Un Sol Para Los Chicos'
campaign - similar to Children In Need.
He presented a a cheque for AR$4,500,000 (N97m) while also sending good wishes.
Messi was apparently in a good mood compared to when he lost his temper while playing in a Barcelona friendly with Roma where he headbutted Mapou Yyanga-Mbiwa.
Roma defender Mbiwa was angry over an incident with Messi and leaned his head towards him, making contact.
An infuriated Messi responded by headbutting the former Newcastle player and grabbing him by the throat.
The 28-year-old was lucky to escape a sending off but was instead shown a yellow card.
