When Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers splashed £16million on Mario Balotelli last summer, he hoped to have struck a bargain.
The
striker's stay at Liverpool have not being successful and although
Rodgers is yet to admit it, signing the Italy international was a
mistake.
They have been lots of disappointing from
the striker during his stay at Liverpool but one particular incident is
making the news right now.
The former Manchester City striker once scored an own-goal from the halfway line during a training session last season.
The UK Independent reports that that incident tested the patience of the Liverpool hierarchy to a point where enough was enough.
It happened in March 2015, just after a home defeat by Manchester United during a training session overseen by then assistant manager Colin Pascoe.

The squad had gathered in a huddle during training before Balotelli saw young fullback red Jon Flanagan limping 30 yards away injured.
Balotelli according to the report started shouting at Flanagan.
It
was later that same day that Balotelli was playing in a weaker team
made of second fiddle players when he decided to turn around to striker a
stunning own-goal from the halfway line.
The action left everyone present stunned but the controversial striker saw the funny side of it and laughed off the incident.
Balotelli was left out of the games in that month, later appearing in the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Aston Villa in Wembley.
It seems the club is tired of Balotelli's antics and want him out of the club.
